Our pest control technicians are trained to handle all types of pests and will apply the appropriate treatment for your home or business. Some of the common pests we treat include:

  • Carpenter ants
  • Termites
  • Roaches (German and American)
  • Fleas & ticks
  • Bed bugs
  • Spiders The best way to prevent these issues is by keeping your home clean, maintaining an orderly storage area and removing any debris or clutter around where pests can hide.

Carpenter ants

Carpenter ants are the most common ant species found in the North Carolina Piedmont and eastern United States. They are black or reddish brown and measure 1/8 to ¼ inch long. The worker carpenter ants have large heads, long antennae and a constricted waist with no petiole (the connecting segment between the abdomen and thorax).

These ants excavate tunnels through wood for nesting sites. The most common areas where carpenter ants nest include decaying logs, stumps, firewood piles, under loose bark on trees or houses, within walls of homes or buildings; around window sills or doors; under porches; in attic rafters; behind wall baseboards or beneath floor coverings like carpeting or paneling.

Termites

Termites are the most destructive pests in the US, causing more than $5 billion in property damage every year. They can eat through wood, plastic and even concrete. Termites can be found in every state.

Roaches (german and american)

German roaches are slightly smaller than their American counterparts, measuring ¾ to 1 inch long. They live in warm, humid areas and prefer to nest near human activity. These pests are common in the southern United States but can also be found throughout the eastern part of the country as well as parts of Europe and Asia

American roaches are larger than their German cousins; they measure around 1½ to 2 inches long. These pests prefer warm, dry areas such as basements or attics where they can easily find food sources such as decaying organic matter or leftover crumbs from human meals. American-roach infestations are most common in Southern California but have also been known to occur in other western states like Arizona and Colorado

Fleas & Ticks

Fleas and ticks are common pests in the mountains. They can cause serious problems for pets, humans and wildlife. Fleas can transmit diseases to your pet, such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and tapeworms. Ticks can also transmit diseases to their hosts—like Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis (canine), tularemia (rabbit fever) and tick paralysis—and these illnesses can be transmitted to people who have been bitten by an infected tick.

In any season of the year you should take steps to protect your pet from fleas and ticks if you live at or visit higher elevations in the Black Mountain area of Arizona or Northern Nevada.

Bed Bugs

If you’re concerned about bed bugs, you’re not alone. Bed bugs are small insects that feed on the blood of humans and animals. They have been known to spread disease, but they do not transmit any diseases to humans. Bed bugs cannot fly or jump and they tend to live in groups hiding in cracks and crevices during the day. They usually come out at night while people are sleeping to feed on their hosts’ blood, which can cause itching and irritation if left untreated

Spiders

Spiders are not insects. The spider is a member of Arachnida, an order that includes scorpions and mites. Spiders have eight legs and two body segments (cephalothorax and abdomen). They are also air-breathing arthropods with two major body parts, a cephalothorax (head) and an abdomen. The bodies of spiders range from 0.05 to 20 cm (0.2 in) long, with most species measuring 1–10 cm (0.4–3.9 in).

Spiders have been on Earth for at least 400 million years, making them one of the longest-living groups of terrestrial animals; they exhibit some plesiomorphic characters such as venom among their endoparasites or commensals with other arthropods; they walk on four pairs of legs; they produce silk which allows them to make webs or traps where insects become their prey when entering the web by chance or looking for shelter; their mouth parts are located at the tip of their head so that one chelicera can pierce its prey’s exoskeleton while another chelicera holds it in place until digestion is complete;

Wasps & Hornets

Wasps, hornets and yellowjackets are all insects that belong to the wasp family. Although they are not technically spiders, they can be just as dangerous to humans and animals. When a nest is disturbed or threatened by humans or pets, these pests can become very aggressive- and will attack without provocation.

There are over 41 different species of Yellowjackets in North America alone, with three main types: baldfaced hornet (Vespula maculifrons), European hornet (Vespa crabro) and eastern yellowjacket (Vespula maculata). All three are highly aggressive predators that feed on other insects as well as scavenge leftover food from humans which makes them especially problematic when living near homes or businesses where people store their garbage outside for pickup at specific times each week.

Central AC Mites / Dust Mites

Dust mites are microscopic insects that thrive in warm, humid environments. They feed on the dead skin cells of humans and animals, which means they’re common in homes with lots of people and pets. The problem is that when these tiny bugs find their way into your home, you might not even notice them until symptoms start to appear.

The most common symptom associated with dust mites is itching or irritation on the skin or eyes—you may have noticed this feeling before when you woke up in the middle of the night after a particularly bad dream. In some cases, this can develop into more serious conditions such as eczema or asthma. In severe cases that aren’t treated immediately (which happens more often than you might think), patients can be hospitalized due to severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis!

Rodents (mice and rats)

Rodents are the most common pests in the United States, and can be found in homes, businesses and farms. There are several species of rodents that infest buildings, including mice, rats and squirrels. All three types of rodents are capable of chewing through plastic pipes as well as electrical wiring causing fires and/or explosions. These pests do not discriminate when choosing a food source; they will eat just about anything including cardboard boxes or paper bags to get at your food supplies if they smell it inside your house or business.

Rodents like mice can transmit diseases such as Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) which causes a deadly form of pneumonia in humans who come into contact with urine from infected rodents while cleaning up after them; Leptospirosis which is another type of bacterial infection spread by rodents shedding their waste products on unwashed surfaces near streams or ponds used for drinking water; Lyme disease transmitted by deer ticks feeding on mice infected with Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria before attaching themselves to humans passing nearby – this disease affects over 300000 people each year (CDC).
